Nita is a science genius. In her free time she likes to make new science tools. She knows how to make a compass. She knows how to make a light bulb light up using energy from the sun.

One day there's a loud noise on the mountain behind her house. Nita walks towards the noise. There she sees a boy who isn't human.

"Hello. What are you doing?" Nita asks the boy. The boy is surprised to hear her voice. He runs away and hides behind a tree. He peeks out at Nita from behind the tree.

"Please come out! Am I really that scary?" Nita asks the boy and laughs. A teet! teet! sound comes from the boy's hand. He comes out from behind the tree.

He points to the sun. Nita asks, "What are you doing?" After a while he replies, "I'm absorbing the energy from the sun. ""Oh! Where did you come from?" Nita asks, surprised.

The boy replies, "I come from another planet. My spaceship is broken, and I've lost my energy ball. I have to find my energy ball. It will help me go back to my planet."

"I'll help you find it. What's your name?" Nita asks. The boy shakes his head. "You don’t have a name? Can I call you Green Star?" Nita asks. The boy smiles and nods.

All afternoon and evening they search of the energy ball together. But they cannot find it.

"I really miss my home," Green Star says with a sad face. His body slowly starts to emit light. "It's almost nighttime and my energy is running out. You should go back home," Green Star says.

That night Nita can't sleep. She looks at the little stars that are stuck on her wall. She thinks about the light that comes from Green Star’s body. "Oh! Now I know how to find the energy ball! It will emit light at night." Nita says.

The next morning, Nita tells Green Star about her idea for finding his energy ball. Green Star uses a tool Nita created, and he has full energy when night comes. Then they continue looking for the energy ball. "Over there! There's a green light coming from a hole in a tree!" Nita shouts happily. "Finally, we found it!" Green Star shouts.

"Goodbye, Nita! You are a brave and smart girl. I hope one day, you will visit my planet." Green Star says. "I will build a spaceship and fly to see you one day." Nita says. She waves goodbye to Green Star.
