Two groups can look different but still be equal.
Four big blocks and four tiny beads are still equal, because both groups have 4. It is the number that counts, not the size!

'More' means a bigger amount and 'less' means a smaller amount.
'Equal' means two groups have the same number of things.
You can see which group has more by matching them one to one.
The equals sign (=) means both sides are the same.
The 'greater than' sign is like a hungry mouth for the bigger number.
